Good Fellas — a British drama that follows five black boys living in Surrey, United Kingdom, as they explore young adulthood, is set for release in 2017.
Billed as a combination of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and The Inbetweeners, the comedy includes a diverse range of characters from different ethnic backgrounds.
“My aim is to write comedy that engages and entertains people of all races and genders,” said Andrew Prince, who created and wrote the show, as well as starring in it.
“Our cast and show reflect the diverse Britain that I live in, a multi ethnic, and vibrant nation. We need to see more content like this on our TV screens.”
“The Good Fellas team are passionate about telling stories that reflect Britain,” added producer Alexandre.
“Our show places five young boys that don’t fit into the conventional stereotypes of young black males on British television today.”
